3 Awesome Article Marketing Tips

article marketing tipsArticle marketing, like blog marketing (they are much the same, really), is one of the fastest-growing and popular tools in the Internet marketing box.  It’s easy to see why—with little to no monetary investment, and a little bit of time spent writing the articles, businesses of any size can reach millions of people.

That doesn’t mean, however, that this online marketing method is a slam dunk.  You need to do it right.  The fact is, the potential of article marketing is limited by the amount of effort and creativity you want to put into it.  There are many article marketing tips that can help you get more out of your efforts.  Here are just a few:

1. Understand your audience- This is all part of the little bit of research it takes to target your market precisely.  Doing so will give you a better return on your investment of time in article marketing.  Why? Because you’re more likely to convert your readers into buyers if they are interested in what you’re offering.  Who are your readers?  Focus on keywords and topics of interest to them.

2.  Deliver value- Before you get all excited about submitting those hundred articles to directories and watching the money come pouring in, check first to make sure that what you’ve written is useful to readers.  Does this sound obvious?  Well, if you’ve seen some of the stuff that’s floating around the Internet, you know that somewhere out there, persons unknown have forgotten to check this one off their list.  Do you think they’re getting the business they had hoped for?

You could submit a thousand articles and not get the results you want.  This will happen when readers catch on to the fact that you have nothing to say that will help them.  So, don’t waste your time writing articles that are stuffed with keywords but make little sense.

3. Produce- Another great article marketing tip?  Keep producing articles on a regular basis.  Just like blogs, articles that are distributed on the Web will not stay fresh for very long.  And, the more stale they become, the less power they have to help drive traffic to your site.  So, put your article writing on a schedule.  Produce fresh content twice a week, if possible.  It keeps you in people’s minds and lets them know that you’re active and interested in helping them solve their problems.

These are just 3 article marketing tips that can help you stay on track with your campaign.  Remember, the focus should be on quality, not quantity.  Don’t think in terms of “how much” but “how much value”.  It’s better to produce fewer really good articles, than bomb the Internet with stuff that will ultimately just make you look bad.article marketing tips

And think about it—you’ll be doing your part to reduce the amount of waste material that weary Internet searchers have to wade through every day to find what they need.  That’s a good deed, for sure.
