5 Reasons Why You Need An Awesome Article Marketing Strategy

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is a hot buzzword that article marketingmarketers throw around like candy at Halloween.  But SEO is not just inserting a bunch of keywords onto a website in order to get an increased hit rate.  Real, authentic, expert content is needed in order to make the marketing effort “stick”.  That type of content comes from a very awesome article marketing strategy.

Some marketing leaders may not be convinced that an article marketing strategy is even worth the effort.  Indeed, pumping out viable substantive articles can be a challenge.  However, the task can definitely be worth the effort as the need for “expert” content grows.

1.   All of the major search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.) have very sophisticated analysis algorithms that give a higher rank and score based on how comprehensive the content displayed on the web pages.  Given this, having pertinent articles makes the chances of your website displaying at the top of a search much better.

2.   Well written articles provide a presentation that the site has expert knowledge on the subject.  Readers who wish to learn more about the subject tend to perceive well written articles as a better source that the average “spam” type of ad messages that are found on many sites.

3.   Articles that are presented in an entertaining and/or educational manner can become “viral” in short order, as long as a share feature is provided or at the very least, allow the reader to copy/paste the website link.

4.   You can recycle or republish articles in a variety of areas such as blogs, newsletters, teleseminars, social media sites, and more.

5.   As a general rule, an online viewer needs to “touch” your product information seven times before a purchase occurs.  Leveraging articles is yet another way to provide that opportunity to “touch” with your potential customers.

When building your article marketing strategy, keep these reasons in mind.  This information can give marketers an advantage over those who simply stuff keywords onto a web page.  Find companies who can help to provide some awesome articles (or write them yourself), and watch the return on your marketing dollar grow!
