Article Marketing - Part 2 - Does it Really Work?

So Now the Million Dollar Question… Does it Really Work? Obviously, being in the natural search engine optimization business, I’m a big believer in the power of high quality content when it comes to building trust with viewers, increasing conversion rates, and increasing search engine ranks in the long run as well.
However, even with all this knowledge of the power of content, I was still a bit skeptical of the whole concept of article marketing. It wasn’t until I tried it and actually saw leads coming in from it that I became a believer.
So the answer… yes, it does work.
Is it Worth the Time and Effort?
This is the next question most people have when considering article marketing as a viable online marketing option. Let’s assume that you know it works. The next question becomes, is it worth the time it takes to write all these articles and submit them to the article directories?
This is a tough question with no easy answer, so I’ll give it a shot.
Obviously, there's never a solution that works for all situations across the board. Every industry is different. Every website is different. Every site owner has different goals they wish to accomplish in different time periods. Most importantly, every article marketing campaign is executed differently. There’s a right and wrong way to do it – that’s for sure.
Taking into account all these unique circumstances, I can tell you that about 80% of the time, I see very good results from a well thought out and well executed article marketing strategy.
The success of an article marketing campaign will depend on the following factors:
- The quality of the articles
- How many total articles you write and submit in a given time period
- How long you’ve been submitting articles for
- How much time and effort it takes you to write each article
- The competitiveness of your industry and the topics you’re writing about
How Long can it Take to See Real Results?
Again, this will depend on the 5 factors listed above. However, in general, results can be expected after submitting about 25 articles. However, real results aren’t really seen until several hundred articles are submitted. Impressive results start happening when you get past the 1,000 article mark.
