Sure you could give up. You could settle. Most people do - IWillNotDie.com
I read a couple of blogs the other day that I liked so much, I bookmarked them for future reading. I don't do that very often. Imagine scrolling through and seeing "Why People Don't Like Smart People". You'd read that, wouldn't you? Well I sure would. By the way, this blog was a follow-up to "Why Smart People Fail" and "Why Smart People are Unhappy". If you want these questions answered, I suggest you visit IWillNotDie.com. And don't miss the responses.
Catchy titles, insightful commentary, well-written content. An honest voice. Not only that, but these blogs provoked thoughtful if not downright delightful responses from readers. These blogs exemplify what every blog should do. Whatever your topic or interest, whether you want to promote your business or just voice your opinion, your blog needs to follow this example.
The author chose a fairly controversial topic, one that was bound to get a reaction. Are you afraid of controversy? Don't be. Controversy is a tool that you can use to maximize your blog's impact. People love honest debate, and they want to weigh in. If your content can get people's juices flowing they will almost always come back for more. Which is what you want.
Blogging for success means writing about what you know. It means using SEO techniques. Done right, it showcases your level of knowledge and garners followers with similar interests. But, the best ones have something more.
It's called authenticity. You'll know it when you see it.
