Is Google Still the Best Target for SEO Efforts?

I'm fickle.
There, I've admitted it. I'm fickle and I take things for granted when they've been around a long time.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there just like me, and some of them have actually been making the mistake of thinking Google SEO efforts are just not worth the time anymore.
After all, Microsoft has been making some inroads, with the advent of Bing. Yahoo is also pretty powerful.
But don't be like me and forget that the giant in the search engine industry is a giant for one very good reason. It's big because it's good.
And Google is about to get even better. It's unveiling new apps not only for our computers, but for our mobile phones as the days go by.
In addition to the search engine we're all used to using, Google has apps for shopping, weather, news, communication, documents - you name it on your computer, Google has it. And Google SEO efforts are just about to become even more worthwhile, with work on the infrastructure that its CEO claims will make search results faster, more accurate and in fact, provide users with more of what they're seeking and giving website SEO experts more opportunity to show up in the search results.
So when you ask if you should still be aiming your efforts toward Google, the answer is a resounding yes. Even a fickle person like me has to agree that deciding to concentrate SEO efforts on any of Google's competition could be a huge mistake that might cost your business or website traffic, customers and eventually, money.
So keep up your Google SEO work, and research all the changes that are taking place there.
Google has been at the top of the search engine industry for one reason all this time - it works. Being fickle and forgetting that is probably one of the biggest mistakes that anyone involved with a website's optimization could make.
