The Role of the Content Reseller

resellerDo you have clients looking for optimized content?   The need for content will always be there, and it will be an ongoing one.  As we know, one can’t simply submit content and walk away from it.  The implication of this for Internet marketers is that they have to have a plan for how to create all that content on an ongoing basis.

For the content reseller, this presents a challenge.  Practically every day here at Interact Media we marvel at how complex the process of content management can be.  And, since the launching of our new SEO software, we have become even more aware of how difficult it would be to keep the flow of a content project moving without the help of a good platform and professional support.

The reseller needs to make the client happy, mainly by producing results.  Good planning, organization and a clear strategy laid out in advance are the key here.  If you are a content reseller, before you find your content provider make sure that you and your client both clearly understand goals and expectations regarding the content marketing campaign.  This will reduce the tears and sadness that are the result of disappointment.

Define your role as a content reseller.  Where do your responsibilities begin and end?  Will you offer SEO help?  This involves creating keywords, determining density and planning out which content vehicles/products to use and where to distribute them.  Are you taking care of scheduling blog posts and other ongoing content?  Are you tracking results for the client?

Whatever your role, ultimately, the client will expect you to provide them with high-quality SEO content.  Take a look at the volume of content you will need over time—by day, week, month.  What will it take to handle that?  A team of writers?  Do you or your client have the personnel to handle that?

There are lots of decisions to make to ensure that your plan matches your client’s goals.  No SEO content campaign is guaranteed to produce X amount of sales or even traffic.  Internet marketing remains both an art and a science.  But, as a content reseller you can improve your odds of success by partnering with your client and with a good content provider to boost visibility both now and into the future.  Together, you can harness the power of fresh, optimized content and put it to work for you.
