4 Ways To Boost Lead Generation With Social Media

If your social media lead generation is lacking, check out the following four ways to kick it upsocial media website marketing a notch.

In the world of social media marketing, there is no room for being complacent.  While the number one rule is still to have great content, the content itself will not miraculously generate leads.  Lead generation only happens when it is intentional.  Creating a blog with great content and then sitting back and waiting on leads is simply not enough.  The entire purpose of the blog has to be for lead generation, but the trick to social media website marketing is to make it look otherwise.

So, be intentional, but be subtle.  While one cardinal rule for content in social media website marketing is to never be promotional, there must be a call to action of some sort in the body.  An easy example is to add links to promotional pages within the body of the text.  This maintains the integrity of the information in the post, but allows those who are interested to venture into the land of becoming a lead.

This leads us to tip number three: research and link.  Research other authorities in your topic constantly, and link back to relevant information they may offer as well as other websites associated with your company.  Leave competitors out of course, but linking to other professionals on the topic will lend more credence to your site and build reader loyalty because you will be considered a central hub of topical information, which in turn will increase leads.

As you are researching, participate on the other sites that you come across that are relevant.  This is especially important on those sites that you link back to.  If comments are open, comment.  Add useful, relevant information and link back to your site.  Just make sure that your comments are relevant and useful.  Otherwise the whole thing will be way too obvious and actually turn off potential leads.
