How to Improve Your Client Rating As a Zerys Copywriter
One of the most important factors regarding your experience as a Zerys copywriter is your client rating. Your client rating holds the key to nearly all of your opportunities for success at Zerys, including:
Your access to writing jobs on the job board
Your access to potential new clients for whom to write, since many clients only wish to assign jobs to copywriters who have 4 or 5 stars. In some cases, clients request only 5-star copywriters.
Your payment rate per word
When you submit your initial writing sample, you are provided with a rating. Whatever the value of your initial rating, raising the level of your writing game should be one of your goals as a Zerys copywriter.
There are a number of variables which affect the likelihood of raising your rating:
The total number of articles you’ve written and the average rating of each.
The rating system of the client(s) for whom you are writing
The continued quality of the articles you submit
Maintaining your existing rating will be a lot easier than raising it long term. In fact, the likelihood of increasing your rating decreases as the number of articles you’ve written increases. Thus, it is easier to increase your rating early on, than after months of writing.
In purely mathematical terms, the larger the base of articles you’ve accumulated, the more difficult it becomes to raise your rating. Here’s an illustration. Let’s say you’ve written a total of 50 articles and your average rating is 4 stars. In order for your rating to become 5 stars, you would need to submit 25 consecutive articles with a 5-star rating to raise your overall standing.
The reason is that it would take 50 percent of the existing article ratings (50 percent of 50 articles equals 25 articles) to be rated at a higher level in order for the average to increase enough to boost the overall rating.
If you’ve written a total of 75 articles, then it would take 37 consecutive 5-star articles to raise the rating. As you can see, the more you write, the more the math works against you. But raising your rating is an achievable goal. Here are some steps you can take toward that end:
Always produce your highest quality work. This is the most important step for becoming a successful Zerys writer because so many other benefits flow from the quality of the work you produce. The more 5-star articles you submit, the greater your chances of increasing your rating.
Write for clients who have given you 5-star ratings in the past. When a client gives you a 5-star rating, this means he/she is comfortable with your writing style, your ability to follow instructions and your understanding of the subject matter. If a client has given you a 5-star rating on previous assignments, it will be easier for you to duplicate a similar outcome on future jobs.
Position yourself to receive direct writing assignments. Direct writing assignments are submitted to you by clients who like your work, or who are impressed by the credentials listed on your profile. Direct assignments usually generate a higher average rating than ones from the job board because you and the client have already established compatibility with your relationship.
Along your journey as a Zerys copywriter, keep sight of the all-important rating system. As your rating soars, so will your prospects for new assignments, new clients and financial rewards.
